So I'm uploading some pictures of various European vacations. I spent the fall term studying in France, so I got the opportunity to see many different parts of the country, as well as a short trip to Barcelona. A couple of the photos are from my family's trip to London in 2009. Now, bear in mind I'm not much of a photographer - none of these photos were really taken with the intention of being artsy. So, I've been checking on some things, and it turns out that a couple of the Quenya words in my tattoo designs were actually spelled wrong. The Quenya alphabet (which, incidentally, works in an entirely different manner than the alphabet of any Romance or Germanic language) has several very complicated rules that also happen to be rather arbitrary. It's a thing. For example: two different characters for our letter "R," which are used in entirely different manners and are not, in fact, interchangeable.
